7/10. Not bad overall. It was too fast at the start and the US setting was unnecessary as it could just has easily have been set in London. However the Weeping Angels were excellent and the Amy/Rory departure was well done.

Geez, you miss the obvious, don't you? It couldn't be set in London, otherwise the Doctor would never be able to visit London again - it had to be somewhere the show can quite happily avoid. I dunno what you're complaining out, as the story says the Doctor can never visit the US again...

I dunno what you're complaining out, as the story says the Doctor can never visit the US again... I completely missed that bit. Therefore the script needed to be redrafted to emphasise this key point. Rushed writing.

It wasn't rushed - you were too busy being anti-American to notice the blatant plot point that was mentioned by the Doctor, Amy and River on no less than four occasions!

He visited New York again after he said he can't visit New York again. He meant that he can't visit 1930s New York again.

Why visit New York at all? It'd only remind him of the bad times.

I was impressed with how atmospheric and sombre this episode was. My Mum cried. All in all I'd say I'm more satisfied with S7 so far than any prior Moffat Who. Deffo right to lose the convuluted plot hole ridden psudeo-Lost story arcs.

Yep, that's the truth. I'm glad Moff's had the guts to admit that rather than sledgehammer the same thing over and over until it worked - which he could quite easily have done. It seems the reshuffle of recording dates WAS needed for quality after all.

Well they might not have taken manhatten but the angels did take mah hat off! To them!
But really the episode was a bit confused but genrellarly worked, they had a lot to do, probably could have done with a second part
