After the brief renaissance of 'The Day of the Doctor' it was back to childish humour, running around, a daft plot where Christmas was shoved in as a theme for no obvious reason and general dreariness. Only Matt Smith's acting was worthy of praise.

TO be honest I thought the Doctor hanging out of the TARDIS in the Day of the Doctor to be rather childish as well... if it were a realistic show I think UNIT would have knocked on the door before hauling it away...
