During the middle ages, orchids were used in love potions as a powerful aphrodisiac. I found this out during extensive research undertaken before writing "Aliens in the Orchid House".

Indeed, the Orchid House only appears in one scene at the end of the story and is then smashed. Good riddance.
	Time travel for an archaeolgist is in many ways rather pointless. You take an archaeologist into the past and the very material they need to base their findings on doesn't exist yet - so kind of pointless, really. They can't do their job.
