I posted this test a fair while ago on Outpost Gallifrey, however here it is again in case you haven't taken it.
Doctor Who fans can be divided between three categories: 'Novice fan', 'Serious fan' and 'Whovian', with a fourth category for the absolute expert analysts in the field such as Howe, Stammers and Walker (Whovianologist). To see which of the main three categories that you are part of, I have devised this simple test. Simply answer 'yes' or 'no' to the following questions and then read the score-analysis at the end.
1) Do you own BBV's Auton Trilogy on DVD?
2) Have you ever met Barry Letts, Terrance Dicks or Sophie Aldred?
3) Have you fully read Howe, Stammers and Walker's 'Decades' trio of books?
4) Do you know which character Erik Chitty played in 'The Deadly Assassin'?
5) Have you ever been on holiday to Lanzarote, which was featured in 'Planet of Fire'?
6) Do you belong to a local Doctor Who fan group?
7) Do you own a complete set of Doctor Who annuals?
8) Can you name all of Patrick Troughton's children and grandchildren?
9) Have you read: "Doctor Who: The Unfolding Text"?
10) Could you visualise and draw the Meep?
11) Have you ever owned an exceptionally long scarf?
12) Have you ever had relationship problems due to the time you spend on Doctor Who matters?
OK, the analysis:
1-4 Yes answers: You are a novice fan. You probably like the new series and have only a partial knowledge of the old. However there is potential here, 'from small acorns giant oak trees grow' as they say in Colchester.
5-8 Yes answers: You are a serious Doctor Who fan with a very good knowledge of the series and general understanding.
9-12 Yes answers: You are a Whovian.
